The Trip:
Gray, drizzle, and PLENTY OF RAIN !!!!!!!!! ... went to see if we could find the Long-tailed Ducks or the White-winged Scoters seen there 2 days ago ... no luck ... miserable day for photography ... Canon EOS 7d, 400mm.
Henry Hagg Lake, Oregon:
Henry Hagg Lake, often called simply "Hagg Lake", is a 1,100-acre reservoir located 25 miles west of Portland, Oregon, and a few miles southwest of the town of Forest Grove. A U.S. Bureau of Reclamation dam on Scoggins Creek creates the 1,100-acre reservoir used to store water for irrigation and municipal use, and provide flood control on the Tualatin River.
