The Trip:
BEAUTIFUL fall day !!!!!! ... our "goals" were to see if we could located the Red-necked Grebe seen above Bonneville Dam, and locate the Clay-colored Sparrow at the Skamania County Fairgrounds at Rock Creek/Rock Cove, just west of Stevenson, Washington ... no luck on the Grebe but SUCCESS on the Clay-colored Sparrow !!!!!!! ... according to Wilson Cady, a long-time birder and bird county record-keeper, this particular Clay-colored Sparrow is only the 2nd of that species documented in Skamania County.
