"Wilson's Snipe"
Wilson's Snipe:    The Wilson's Warbler, Wilson's Snipe, Wilson's Storm-petrel, Wilson's Plover, and Wilson's Phalarope are all named after Alexander Wilson (1766 - 1813), perhaps the greatest American ornithologist prior to Audubon. The Wilson's Snipe (Gallinago delicata) was split from the Common Snipe (Gallinago gallinago) by the AOU in 2002, with the Wilson's Snipe being the American bird and the Common Snipe being the Eurasian bird.
