"Mourning Dove"

Mourning Dove:    The Mourning Dove (Zenaida macroura) is a game bird in most states, and was named for its melancholy call. Mourning Doves have been known by many other names including "American Mourning Dove", "Blue Dove", "Sharp-tailed Dove", "Ground Dove", "Rain Dove", "Carolina Dove", "Carolina Pigeon", "Western Turtledove", "Turtledove", "Soccoro Dove", and "Grayson's Dove".
