"Hermit Warbler"
Hermit Warbler:    The Hermit Warbler was named by John Kirk Townsend, who first described the species from a pair he collected on May 28, 1835, at Fort Vancouver near the Columbia River (now Vancouver, Washington). Townsend and his friend Thomas Nuttall, noted the bird was a "remarkably shy and solitary bird, retiring into the darkest and most silent recesses of the evergreens ..." (Audubon, 1841, "The Birds of America", vol.2).
