"American Crow"
American Crow:    The American Crow was first described in 1822 by Christian Ludwig Brehm, a German ornithologist. The scientific name, Corvus brachyrhynchos, means "short-billed crow", from Ancient Greek "brachy" (short) and "rhynchos" (bill). The genus "Corvus" is Latin meaning "raven", and was originally described by Linnaeus in the 18th century. A group of crows is called a "flock" or a "murder".
